This is a great idea. I have always really liked in-person trainings, but I think, given the current climate, that interactive web-based options may be our best best.
We've had success adding polls to webinars, to allow for some participant interaction. Also, asking some open-response questions has increased engagement. @Blake Kush do you have other ideas to share?
I agree and am finding that when there are items to break up the training sessions it also helps folx who otherwise would be overwhelmed speaking up in a large "crowd" participate. The other tool that could be useful is to break the group into smaller ones. I know that Zoom has this function, but I'm not sure if WebEx does. Do you know, @Blake Kush or @Training & Outreach?
@Lindsey Crusan-Muse I'm not sure if WebEx can split the group into smaller ones. I'll have to look into this. I do like the idea of polling, even if they polls are silly, they can break up the training and keep you engaged. At our Building and Managing Teams Remotely Webinar (https://youtu.be/T0piRWkttlo) we hosted earlier this month, consultants Jenny & Alan had a fun poll regarding the best way to eat pizza that I thought was a great addition to the training.
@Lindsey Crusan-MuseI think WebEx has finally introduced breakout sessions to their Webex Meetings Platform. I haven't used it yet, but I look forward to trying it out! I find their polling function a little better than Zoom's, so I am happy to see that they have finally added the breakout function.
