This is a reminder for the next installment in our Transition FORWARD Webinar Series, hosted by our partners at the Institute for Disaster Mental Health at SUNY New Paltz: Coping with Loss and Grief on Wednesday, June 24th at 10:00 am The Coronavirus pandemic has caused losses for everyone in different ways: Loss of jobs, of routines, of irreplaceable experiences, of loved ones, of our sense of safety and control. It can be difficult to know how to cope with this spectrum of losses. Some of us may judge ourselves for feeling upset about our experiences when we know other people are suffering more intensely. Others may resent those around them for complaining about things that may seem less significant, like missing graduations or vacations – yet all of these losses are valid and deserve to be recognized and mourned. This 75-minute webinar will address:
The variety of losses people have experienced throughout the pandemic and as we start to return to more typical activities in a changed environment
Ways to cope compassionately with our own and others’ grief We understand that your programs are under unique forms of stress during this time, and OVS is here to help during this difficult time and beyond.
